It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of yet another dolphin at Dolphinaris Arizona. “Alia” was born at SeaWorld Orlando in December 2007. The death of 10-year old “Alia” has not yet been determined, a necropsy is pending.
“Alia” is the second dolphin to die under Dolphinaris’ care in less than a year. “Bodie”, a 7-year old dolphin, died September 2017. His necropsy results showed his death was caused by a fungal infection, which conflicted with the media release from Dolphinaris Arizona who claimed it was caused by a “rare muscle disease”.
Please keep her and all the captive animals in your hearts and in your prayers.
